Candidates for Implant Dentures
Sufficient Jaw Tissue
Patients must have sufficient jawbone tissue to qualify for implants. If you have significant bone atrophy, Dr. Carpenter may recommend a bone graft or sinus lift to restore your jawbone.

Does Implant Placement Hurt?
Your mouth will be numbed prior to dental implant surgery, meaning you will not feel pain while your implants are placed. However, minor discomfort following surgery is to be expected and is typically easily managed using comfort measures such as:
- Over-the-counter pain meds
- Prescription pain meds
- Ice
- Eating soft foods for a few days

Sedation Available
If you suffer from dental anxiety or simply want extra comfort care, our Kenilworth dental practice offers oral conscious sedation.
